Vaughan Living: All The Neighbourhoods
I had a hard time picking only one community in the city of Vaughan since I spend a lot of time in this city with people I love. I also work a lot in the various neighbourhoods of Vaughan. My name is Meegan Dennie a real estate agent in Toronto Ontario Canada and 'Im going to tell you why Vaughan in the York region, is such a great city to live in!
There may be a video circulating of me singing and dancing my butt off with my friend at one of the Tina Turner - Free Concerts In The Park - That the City of Vaughan puts on during the summer. It was an impersonator, but wow she sounded and looked just like Tina! They had several of these concerts at various parks throughout Vaughan and I had a blast going to each and every one of them.
This is one of the reason why I love this City.
It’s one of the five largest cities in the Greater Toronto Area and had a ton of development in the early 2000’s. But what’s great about this city, is there is still lots of development to happen and you can witness this in the community of Concord, Maple & North of Teston in Rural Vaughan.
Speaking of the communities of Vaughan, let’s list them quickly:
Concord & Vaughan Metropolitan Centre are separate communities but are intertwined and have lots of condo developments that can be seen from Hwy 7 in and around Jane St. It has great transit and access to Toronto’s subway Line 1, and also great provincial highway access. It also has the infamous Vaughan Metropolitan Centre that hosts lots of huge corporate events. I could not forget to mention Vaughan Mills, the regions largest shopping and outlet mall!
Next is Woodbridge: This area takes up one third of the city of Vaughan in mass and has a huge Italian demographic - Like 53% of Woodbridge is Italian, to be exact :) I have several friends that live here and the houses are amazing!! This community also has some really great parks and nature trails!
Next up: Thornhill : Another area with lots of good friends here!! It borders Richmond Hill and Markham. It has a diverse ethnic population in Thornhill of Jewish, Korean, Chinese, Iranian, and Italian. I love the Thornhill Farmers Market off Yonge Street.
Now for Maple: This community has the famous Canada’s Wonderland in it’s backyard… Canada’s largest amusement park is right there!! Need I say more?? Just kidding.. I do love this community. The intersection at Keele and Major Mackenzie sort of resembles a heritage vibe. It’s very cute. There are lots of great residential subdivisions throughout Maple.
Last but not least, let me show you Kleinburg.
Speaking of near and dear to my heart, watch my next video as I take you around the Downsview neighbourhood. You wont want to miss it! Im Meegan Dennie, please call me for all of your real estate related questions or needs for Toronto or the GTA :)
